The sound of movement and conversation awoke me from my slumber. My eyes cracked open to blazing sunlight and brown sugar naked skin moving around the room, talking on her cell phone. I rubbed my eyes and saw my watch, phone, and wallet lying on the nightstand. I picked up my watch, noticing it was a little after nine in the morning. Lifting, I swung my feet to the floor just as Juri walked over to me, smiling and kissing my lips, then driving her minty tongue into my mouth. Finally pulling away from me, she went back to her conversation.

“Did you sleep well?”

“I did. Why are you up so early?”

“Have to get to the gym and train before my fight tomorrow. I got you, Mika, Mama Charlene, and whoever else Mika invited tickets to my last fight. I hope you can make it.”

“I don’t think I have much of a choice, do I?”

She smiled and shrugged. “Nope.”

“I thought so.”

“The shower is down the hall on the left. There’s extra toothbrushes in the cabinet, and I called over to the store on the property and had them deliver you some clean underwear. You’re extra-large, right?”

“Uh, on a good day, I guess.” I laughed.

“Well, if they don’t fit, you could always free ball.”

“Fuck outta here.” We both laughed as she stood.

“I’m going to make you a hearty breakfast, then I’m going to get ready to head out. Let me know if you need anything else.” She kissed me again, then left the room. Confliction settled over me because while this felt right, I had a feeling this thing between us wasn’t going to be an easy feat. I really needed to make it known that we were now an item and that she needed to tell her mans to step aside. I wasn’t her boyfriend number two, so whatever she needed to do to dead that situation, she needed to do it fast.
